If you are searching the I-Share Catalog, and the book you want is not
held at the UIS library, or whichever I-Share library you
are using as your home library, you can request the book be sent
to a particular I-Share library.
How to Request a Book
Once you are viewing the complete record of a particular book,
click on the Request button
in the green toolbar at the top of the screen. You will then have
to log into the system.
- Choose Univ. of Illinois-Spgfld as your Home Library.
- Type in the 14 digit number starting with 21412 from your UIS
I-Card Student ID, your last name, then click the Login
button.
The next screen asks you to choose what kind of request you want
to make, but there isn't actually a choice, so just press the
OK button.
The next screen is the actual Request Form. You'll have
to type in your 14 digit library number again, and you can choose
where you want to pick up the book. (It's defaulted to UIS Circulation.)
If you don't live near any of the I-Share
libraries, have the book sent to UIS Circulation, then
contact
Circulation to have them either mail it to another Illinois
library or to your home.
