Do you have Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint in the library?

Yes! Virtually all of the computers in the library have Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. However, if you need technical assistance it is best to use the computers in the computer lab on Level 1 or in UHB 2030. 

How do I print from the library's computers?

All of the PCs on Levels 2, 3, and 4 in the library are connected to the two Print Stations on Level 2. Once you click the print button in Netscape or Internet Explorer, another window will pop up asking you to Please enter your username or logon id. Type in a unique name so that you can identify it from other print jobs. (You may use the same name for all of your print jobs.) The print request is sent to both of the Print Stations. It is $.10 a page to print, payable only with a copy card. You may put money on your I-Card via CSVT Value-adding Station, on Level 2 next to the elevator, or blank copy cards (with no value on them) may be purchased for $5 from the station.

Where are the photocopiers located?

Photocopiers are located on Levels 1, 2, and 3 of the library, next to the elevator and main stairwell. It is $.10 a page to photocopy, with cash or a copy card. You may put money on your I-Card via CSVT Value-adding Station, on Level 2 next to the elevator, or blank copy cards (with no value on them) may be purchased for $5 from the station.

Where can I photocopy an article on microfilm or microfiche?

Educational Technology on Level 1 has reader/printers for microfilm or microfiche formats. It is $.25 for an 11x17 page.

Are there any typewriters in the library?

Yes, there are a couple public typewriters on Level 2. However, you will have to provide your own paper.

Where are the computer labs?

Educational Technology manages two open computer labs, one in UHB 2030 with 39 workstations, and another on Level 1 in Brookens Library with 41 workstations. For detailed information about the software available and other teaching labs, see Computer Labs.
